Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) is a pioneering public university in Limassol (Cyprus) that provides education and basic/applied research in leading branches of science and technology which have high impact on the economic, technical, and scientific sectors. CUT was founded by law in December 2003 and welcomed its first students in September 2007; CUT has been ranked amongst the top 500 Universities
worldwide by the 2016-17 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Currently it comprises six faculties and an international institute on public health. CUT is participating in PVrossion through its Construction Innovation Unit, which is part of the Centre for Space Applications, Remote Sensing, Geo-Informatics, Geo-Environment and Sustainability (CSRGS)-“ERATOSTHENES”.
The Construction Innovation Unit (based in the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics) has vast experience in the field of concrete engineering, including durability of concrete reinforcement (incl. accelerated corrosion testing), concrete technology, probabilistic risk assessment, structural analysis and design, life cycle assessment.
