Measurements at PV plant and roof-top installations

The Power Systems Modelling (PSM) Lab of the University of Cyprus in collaboration with Ecoenergia Cy performed electrical tests at two identified PV sites to measure leakage currents. Measurements were performed in the course of 2 weeks at the roof-top PV installations of the University of Cyprus and at a 150 kWp PV plan in Akaki, Cyprus (built, operated and maintained by Ecoenergia Cy). The particular sites were identified for performing further experiments and field tests to investigate the parameters influencing the level of dc leakage emanating from the PV modules, inverters and dc cables under operational and faulty conditions. Among the tests, the team also performed soil resistivity measurements using the Wenner method to construct a soil resistivity model.
